Lynise Fleming-Jackson

Transitions Specialist

Lynise joins the Mt. Scott team this year as our new Transitions Specialist. She brings extensive experience working with students on career pathway planning and post-secondary preparation. 

Lynise previously worked at SE Works as a College and Career Specialist, at Open Meadow’s Step Up program as a Student Success Advocate, and at Portland Youth Builders training, orienting, and supervising all volunteer tutors. She has also been an instructor with Sylvan Learning Center in Atlanta, Georgia and served as an ESL teacher in South Korea.

Lynise believes every student has the potential to grow and become a successful young adult. She graduated from the University of West Georgia with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology and a minor in French. She loves to travel, learn, and gain new experiences. Originally from Atlanta, she moved to Portland four years ago for an innovative approach to teaching students.

She has recently earned her Masters’ degree in Educational Leadership and Policy at Portland State University.
