Social Studies Teacher
Born into a family of movers and shakers in Boise, Idaho, Blair Hennessy has done her own moving and shaking since learning how to walk. After many experiences in Washington, California and living and teaching abroad, Blair moved to Portland where she has worked with youth for the last three years.
As a teacher, Blair believes in pushing her students to ask questions, explore their own identities in relation to history and take ownership of their education. Blair has spent much of her time exploring the struggles and successes in different regions of the world and engages students about these rich topics.
In her free time, Blair enjoys trying new recipes, cooking for friends, taking photographs, riding her bike, watching films, zumba classes, and enjoying all that Portland has to offer.
Blair holds a Master of Arts in Teaching degree from Lewis and Clark College and a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Relations from Gonzaga University.
